Our roots

On 01.01.1965 Philipp Frank laid the foundation for today's FRANK GmbH in Mörfelden-Walldorf with the establishment of his engineering office. Initially, the focus was on planning and design for pipeline and apparatus construction. When the systems available on the market no longer met the growing demands from the gas and utility and chemical industries, Philipp Frank began to develop his own products. In the process, he recognized the potential of PE - a new type of plastic at the time - at an early stage. With this material, it was possible for the first time to produce corrosion-resistant, weldable and at the same time fracture-resistant pipes with high chemical resistance.

This is how FRANK came to supply the first PE pipes for natural gas supply in Germany. To complete the product range, injection-molded PE butt-weld fittings and the areas of welding technology and plastic fittings followed shortly thereafter. Since then, PE and PP pipe systems have become established in all areas and FRANK is now one of the most important system suppliers in Europe.
