The FRANK pipe joint is designed for joining both circuits of duplex geothermal heat probes. According to the provisions of VDI 4640, each geothermal probe must be connected individually to a manifold and must be closable with shutoff valves in the supply and return flow.
The streamlined inner contour with full flow cross-section produces very low pressure losses. The pipe joint is tested and produced in accordance with the prescriptions of Guideline HR 3.26 of the South German Plastics Centre (SKZ).
The FRANK pipe joint with electro-fusion couplers means time-saving processing in the manufacture of geothermal heat probe connecting lines. Expensive peeling of pipe joint ends is no longer necessary.
Reliable processing is guaranteed by proven technology with completely embedded heating wire. The optimised shrinking process and the generous cold zones of the collars ensure the safe build-up of joining pressure and thus permanently leakproof welded connections.

The insertion tool adapted to the probe foot serves to affix the necessary weights without the risk of damage either to pipes or to the probe foot. The insertion tool is suitable for d 32 mm und d 40 mm geothermal probes.
The special feeder weights for geothermal probes can be simply affixed to the probe foot insertion tool with screws.
The joint ensures easy handling on insertion into the borehole. By using one or two screws the weight can be attached pendular or rigid.
FRANK spacers ensure that geothermal probe pipes are fixed at a certain distance to one another. This avoids the probe pipes from coming into contact, i.e. a thermal short circuit between the probe's cold supply and the hot return flow.
Using spacers guarantees that the pipes are well packed when the borehole is filled with imported material.
Pipe spacers are designed so that a filler pipe can be passed through the centre and the borehole can thus be safely filled from the bottom to the top. A corresponding PE filler pipe can be supplied.
Once the geothermal probe is in operation, the system works underground are invisible to the user. Gas and drinking water pipes are recognisable by means of labelling with colour and permanent imprints.
The FRANK geothermal probes are marked as such in order to make it possible to recognise which pipe has been dug up in case of earth works. FRANK marking tape is recommended in order to prevent damage.
