Flood protection | Groundwater recharge | Water storage | Sewer relief
The THERMTANK is much more than a conventional rainwater storage tank – it combines rainwater retention and geothermal energy in one system, creating synergy effects for builders, planners and local authorities. The THERMTANK system enables large quantities of rainwater to be collected, stored and retained in a controlled manner. Thanks to its sophisticated design, the THERMTANK can collect, store and retain large quantities of rainwater in a controlled manner. At the heart of the system is the integrated support pipe profile: it not only provides the necessary stability (long-term ring stiffness), but also acts as a heat exchanger. A heat transfer medium circulates through the pipe, absorbing thermal energy from the ground and the stored precipitation and transferring it to a heat pump – ideal for sustainable building technology. Made of durable, recyclable polyethylene (PE), the THERMTANK meets the highest standards of sustainability, robustness and investment security. Whether for infrastructure or commercial projects, the THERMTANK is the perfect solution when it comes to resource efficiency and dual use of space – because it combines intelligent rainwater management with renewable energy generation.

The standard version of the THERMTANK has a storage capacity of approximately 23,400 litres and is ideal for the temporary storage of large amounts of rainwater.
TIP: To make optimum use of the thermal potential of the subsoil, the connection pipes can also be equipped with the THERMPIPE system to enable additional geothermal energy utilisation.
In its basic version, the THERMTANK consists of two end modules with domes, each containing a permanently integrated step ladder and two THERMPIPE coiled pipes.
