ASAHI diaphragm valves made of plastic

Safely control challenging media with ASAHI diaphragm valves

ASAHI Membranventile

With the ASAHI diaphragm valves, even demanding media can be safely shut off, as well as controlled within a certain range.

Since only the main body and diaphragm are in contact with media, they are ideally suited for applications with aggressive media. Due to their design, our diaphragm valves can also be used with media containing solids and abrasive media. For applications with hot, moist chlorine - such as in chlorine electrolysis - we supply you with diaphragm valves made of EL-PVDF that are unique worldwide. A closing force limitation is standard on our diaphragm valves.

The most commonly used connection type in the chemical industry is the flange. Our Asahi diaphragm valves are also available with screwed connections.

Furthermore, we also offer diaphragm valves with pneumatic or electric actuators in our delivery program for all available nominal sizes.

  • nominal sizes available: DN 15 - 250
  • body materials: PVC-U, PVC-C, PP, PVDF, EL-PVDF
  • materials: EPDM, CSM, PTFE/EPDM, PVDF cusion cover

The alternative for chlorine electrolysis

Due to permanent contact with free chlorine at high temperatures (conditions such as occur in chlorine electrolysis lines), blistering of the contact surfaces of PVDF fittings can be observed after approximately two years of use. In case of long-term use, the inner surface of the valve may peel off.

Our solution: The diaphragm valve type 14 made of EL-PVDF, which is characterized by a significantly extended service life compared to standard PVDF-
valves. This development success was achieved through a series of modifications that not only increase the service life, but also generate increased operational reliability.
